the king got dethroned in a tie-break - jan hocevar chokes at the summit
The man on top of the table just learned that a crown means nothing when your nerves melt at 10-all. Jan Hocevar took the opening set 6-3 and looked comfortable, then Ziga Vuksinic clawed back the second 7-5 and drowned him in a 12-10 tie-break. That is the kind of collapse you replay in your nightmares. The head-to-head is now level 1-1, so no bragging rights survive.
Hocevar keeps his 39 points and league lead - barely - with Žiga Kranjc (37) and Patricia Vehovec (36) breathing down his neck. Vuksinic climbs to 31 in fifth, hunting Benjamin Redek (34), while David Marjanović (26) lurks below. And remember, Jan: rival Žiga Kranjc is still waiting.
