Patricia Vehovec vs Matic Kobal

In their very first meeting of the season, Patricia Vehovec (#3) treated Matic Kobal (#15) like an unwanted guest: 6-2, 6-2 and out the door. The scoreline flatters him, honestly. Kobal, marooned at 15th with a grim two wins from eleven, simply had no answer to Patricia's depth and movement. With this win Vehovec sits pretty on 36 points, breathing down the neck of Žiga Kranjc (#2, 37) and chasing leader Jan Hocevar (39). Benjamin Redek lurks at 34, so no napping allowed. Kobal, meanwhile, can only worry about staying ahead of poor Primož Vrbovšek in the basement. Patricia has bigger fish to fry.
